An abridged history of SFC

This project was a dream come true. A hardcover coffee table book with dust jacket, 125 pages, nearly 200 photos, and custom text — all telling the story of a 26-year-old organization ministering to mountain communities across Colorado. Originally intended for the 25th anniversary of Snowboarders & Skiers for Christ, COVID delayed the release — but also gave the project room to breathe and grow into something even more special. The extra time showed. This stands as one of the design projects I'm most proud of.

The book was designed for durability and beauty, printed in hardcover with a dust jacket on matte paper — a format that does justice to the richness of the photography and the weight of the story being told. Nearly 200 photos were individually selected and post-processed, with careful attention to how each image served the larger narrative. Beyond the visual design, the project also involved hands-on editing and print sourcing — ultimately produced through PrintNinja, which delivered exceptional quality for a project of this scale. From first concept to final print, every detail was considered, making this a true labor of love from cover to cover.
