Secret Spot Team Challenge

Fundraising event branding

The Secret Spot Team Challenge was a one-of-a-kind fundraising event raising money and awareness for suicide prevention and mental health at Copper Mountain, Colorado. The full brand identity was built from the ground up, spanning every touchpoint of the participant experience.

The challenge brought teams of skiers and snowboarders together to "shred the stigma" surrounding mental health — using the mountain as a backdrop for meaningful conversation and connection. The event benefited two local nonprofits, Building Hope Summit County and My Quiet Cave, and ran for two years in 2019 and 2020.

Work included complete event branding, print and digital advertising, social media content and management, on-mountain signage, event tents, and branded giveaway items. A donor presentation was also developed to communicate the event's mission and impact to supporters and sponsors. Every piece was crafted to capture the spirit of the Colorado mountain community while centering the event's serious and important message.

Making a Real Difference

In its inaugural year alone, the Secret Spot Team Challenge drew over 20 teams and raised more than $24,000 — exceeding expectations for a first-year event and generating strong momentum heading into year two. The event's success was a testament to both the power of community-driven fundraising and the effectiveness of a cohesive, purposeful brand. By pairing adventure with advocacy, the Secret Spot Team Challenge became a compelling example of how thoughtful design and marketing can amplify a cause and inspire real action.
